Q: How big of an area or room does this 17oz cover? I'm trying to figure out what size to get for the room I want to put it in.

Hi! It covers a fairly large room size. My living room must be approximatly 40m2 (400sqft?) and it smells in the entire room. It really is a fantastic product that I discover during a trip in Rome and it lasts a very long time. Cheers!

Q: How do you open the bottle???

There is a cap you unscrew and throw away. There is a wood piece that sits over the bottle leaving the top open for the diffuser sticks. It looks lovely and the fragrance takes me back to Florence with each whiff. Enjoy
