They don't need to be washed. But I had to soak one in warm water after a soda spilled in my bag and it took awhile to dry out but they work good as new now. If you're just using them on sunglasses and regular glasses then it will pick up the oils and makeup and specks of hairspray or water (or whatever it is that gets on them) and then it can be used over and over and it amazingly soaks in everything. I got these as stocking stuffers and everyone has raved and asked where I got them.

Q: Do you need cleaner fluid to use these?

You need to have a wet lens to act as lube otherwise it will just grind particles into your lenses. The way you're meant to clean glasses it to put the lenses under warm water and rub them with your fingers. Apply a little dish detergent to your lenses and rub with your fingers again. Rinse with water. You can then dry with this product, but you don't really need it. If you're on the go, you want to apply some kind of fluid and then use this product.

They do not come in a case. They are loose and you have to figure out a way to keep them clean and just hanging loose.
