Active after 6 months in storage
Didn't use straight away but kept in cupboard for over 6 months before pitching 1/3rd of pack into 5L apple juice...it was bubbling away after 24 hours and gives a nice apple aroma when finished.

Doing the job
Took a while to get going, about a day and a half, but is now bubbling away nicely, have to wait until it’s finished to see if it has a flavour. Happy with progress so par though.

Very slow to start
Used half the packet in a gallon of pressed apple juice - nothing after four days at 16C. Tested the remainder and it's dead.EDIT: eventually swing into life after six days. So not dead, was very much in a coma.

24 hrs later and no fermentation batch 2231231010 litres of apples wasted2nd batch used chinese rice yeast and that is bubbling away perfectlyreally disappointed

Was unable to get this yeast working properly for my cider vinegarHas to fall back onto a more regular brand that I’ve previously used with success

DO NOT BUY.
A waste of money, time and effort. Bought two packets for a batch of cider. Used first packet as instructed, NO fermentation after 24 hours. Will return second packet to Amazon. EC-118 used for second batch started after 10 minutes under exactly the same conditions and same wort.I should have read the reviews first........
