This clock arrivedCharged it up for a couple of hours before bed, setting alarm, did not go of.Thought ok maybe not enough battery from first charge, plugged it in again, looked at it and numbers not showing / hit the M button and numbers messed up, then noticed it starting to smoke!Had this been left in the house charging, I am pretty sure a major house fire would have resulted.Would not take one if it were free, fire hazard and dangerous

Omg tiny bit smaller than I expected but I am not gonna cry about that it's a beautiful beautiful alarm clock my son loves it. And we all do definitely recommend 👌 very good looking and easy to use , so contemporary

I put 'radio controlled clock' into the search and this is one of the items that popped up. But it isn't a radio controlled clock - when the clocks change you'll have to change this one manually. Not what I wanted.I wanted it to run on batteries only, and while, yes, it does come with a battery, that's only to hold the settings (time, alarm) if the power goes off - you need a usb charger (not supplied) to be able to use this. Not what I wanted.That being said, it is slim, attractive and looks like a phone - it looks lovely in my sleek new kitchen and I can hide the cable behind the toaster - I didn't want it next to the toaster but it's the only place to put it so I can hide the cable. I wanted it to be free standing and portable so I could move it round the kitchen as and when I choose (hence the requirement for battery only operation).It's lovely looking, and the readout is crisp and clear so I'll get used to it.It just isn't what I wanted - the search results SHOULD NOT have shown this item and it isn't clear from the product description that you need to plug it in to the mains.

The clock face is quite large with bright white large digits, very easy to read the time during the day and at night when dimmed.Only 3 buttons on the side to access the functions (time setting\ alarm etc,) so the manual is needed to work out the combinations but pretty clear, the only function I had a little difficulty accessing what setting the dimming time for overnight and returning to full brightness at a set time in the morning, the light sensor for auto dimming wasn't sensitive enough (maybe just my unit).The two USB ports on the side are for charging a mobile phone overnight, I haven't tried this yet as a 2 amp USB mains plug is needed and the ones I currently have are only 1 amp.This was bought for just under a tenner so excellent value.

Good locking clock but useless because the clock stops as soon as the minutes change. I tried resetting it by pulling out the power lead and putting it back in, but the same thing happened again and this happened repeatedly. I tried to contact the seller via Amazon but received no reply. In short, I bought a dud clock and I found from the Amazon website that it is not eligible for return. So think twice before you buy this item. The customer service is poor to say the least and the quality control appears not to exist. You will be taking pot luck if you buy one of these clocks. some may work but others may not. Its only saving grace is that it is cheap cheap and you may be able to afford to write it off and choose something better next time.
