For home improvement projects in an older house I'm constantly coming across imperfect corners and angles. Recently used these gauges when replacing some interior doors in my basement and needed to trace/measure for laying the thresholds. They worked great! I've seen other smaller versions made of metal which can rust and be too tight... these gauges are rugged and made of hard plastic so they're durable but also come with tension control knobs and a locking system to preserve the shape when you need to trace and make your cuts. Well priced compare to other similar models, definitely recommend this set!

I’m working on refurbishing my deck and I needed a tool to help me copy the forms of the wooden railings and spindles that I’m replacing.I’ve already grabbed some initial measurements to get an idea of the lumber I’m going to need and I plan on using the smaller gauge to cut the end pieces of the railings to match the same angles and bevels as the previous railings.These contour gauges are useful to anyone with a similar project or any finishing work for that matter!
