Good value. Pretty accurate. Worth the money.
Its a good mic on my bass cabinet but I do agree with other reviewers in that it is a bit bright. However, it doesn't require alot of eq to get it to sound exactly like the tone that's coming out of your amp. I ran it into a pro mpa preamp and then to a compressor but skipped the eq on my rack and went straight into my multitrack. I was able to get my tone right where I wanted it making adjustments on the amp. I found it was slightly different from other mics in that I got the most accurate tone almost dead center to the dust cap and at least 6 inches away from the grill cloth. Worth the money for sure.

Incredibly great sounding kick mic.
Love it! I had no idea what a dedicated bass drum mic could do. I've tried expensive and great condenser and dynamic mics, but could not get a usable kick sound.. With no eq, this thing sounds perfect. Huge amounts of sub and lows, with the perfect amount of upper mid and treble edge to make those lows make sense. I think it's accurately capturing my bass drum sound, something a regular mic just cannot do, no matter how you try to eq it. This one purchase improved my recordings crazily, it's so important. Put mine inside, aimed at the beater, about 6" away. Captures an incredible kick sound all by itself. Can't compare it to the akg, but I have to say I wouldn't trade this sennheiser ever, it's perfect.

Favorite kick drum mic
If I have to mic a kick drum with only 1 mic and don't have an outside kick/sub kick mic, this is my go-to. You can get both punch and body and it's not crazy scooped or pre-EQ'd like a D6.

Expertly crafted in Germany
Thos mic works very well with a bass amp or on your floor tom, but it really shines with your bass drum. Made in Germany and priced below mics with similar capabilities.

Great for the price
These sound really nice inside bass drums. Compared to Audix D6 they have a little more high end frequencies and I'd say the bottom end is similar. It's almost plug-and-play as there's no need to wrestle with it during mixing. For those who want a punchy sound out of the box, this fits the bill. If you put some compression, a mild enveloper and almost zero EQ, you'll have a killer sounding bass drum for rock and metal. I'll keep my D6 mics as backups for now. They both sound good for what they are intended to.

Sennheiser e602 beats all Kick Drum mics
Incredible kick drum mic. I reviewed many YouTube videos of kick drum mic comparison reviews and it came down to the Sennheiser e602 and the Shure Beta 52A. They were basically the same but my ears heard a faint lower end tone (roundness) and faint longer decay with the Sennheiser e602. That was the deciding factor and the Sennheiser e602 was also about $20 cheaper than the Shure Beta 52A. I think this is the best mic out there at this time

Gran microfono para bombo
Entre este micro y el Beyer para bombo, me quedo con este, efectivamente es mucho mas grande y estorboso, pero suena mejor.

Sennheiser rocks!
This is the best kick mic I have ever used! I have been using a Cad kick mic for the last few years and had been finding for the last while my kick wasn't sounding as good as it should. On the advice of our bass player who is also our sound guy (with many years of experience in both), I bought a Sennheiser e602 II kick drum mic. Immediately after hooking it up and sticking it just inside the kick port I couldn't believe the difference! So much more bottom end and plenty of mid-range to give me a tremendous deep thump from my 14x26 classic maple kick drum. Highly highly highly recommend to any drummer that wants a killer kick sound.
