Sunglasses - Sugar Beach / Frame: Gloss Black Lens: Neutral Grey Polarized

My favorite Maui's to date. These are so light and comfortable, it's easy to forget their on your face. Even the lenses aren't constantly reminding your eyes that you're peering through a darkened piece synthetic material. They are plenty dark for the brightest of days, but transition quite nicely into cloud cover or more dimly lit environments. Seriously; it can be very easy to forget these are on your face, so please, don't forget and become that "indoors sunglasses-wearing guy" (nobody likes that guy). The lenses also give everything a nice sharp, clear, contrast. I have a hard time finding sunglasses that aren't cartoonishly wide for my face/temples, but the Sugar Beaches have a perfect fit. I wouldn't call them narrow, but they do fit my "narrowish" temples exactly as I would hope from any pair of glasses. While these are styled like a pair of Aviators--and have very similar look when worn--they feel much more secure, "sporty", and block out more light from the edges in comparison. I feel like these wrap the face and cover the eyes better than most traditional Aviator-styled sunnies. I bought these after owning a pair of MJ Lighthouses for the past few years (same "sport" model glasses with different shaped lenses). The problem I had with the Lighthouse model was that too much light came in from the side and reflected back to my eye. This was especially problematic if the sun was more to my back; this would cause my eyes to sting and burn after a while. I do not have this problem at all with the Sugar Beach glasses. I regularly wear these golfing and they do not budge when looking down at my ball or throughout my swing (unlike my traditional Aviator-styled glasses). And again, if the sun is to my back, I don't get a distracting reflection like I did with my Lighthouses or Aviators. And if you're not familiar with Maui Jim's service, it is top notch if you have to send anything in for repair. I had a different "sport" model that broke at the bridge and right temple piece, and the lenses were LIGHTLY scratched. They were 3 years old at the time and out of warranty. Maui Jim gave me a "complementary" replacement set of lenses, replaced the temple for free, and only charged for the bridge and the service fee. The end result was a brand new pair MJ sunglasses for only $50 all within a week (originally paid $130, and they didn't "repair" anything, just replaced the pair).

This is my second pair of these, they're the only brand I wear due to their "aviator" looks, lightweight feel, and perfect optics. Just don't let the lenses hit the pavement... They scratch easily. (can be repaired for about $60 via mail.) UPDATE: Final verdict... After 2 pairs of these, and one replacement set of lenses at $60, I can't do it anymore. Great fit, comfort, and optics have been overcome by the fragility of these sunglasses. One drop, (usually within a year) and they're useless. Pick up a box or something and forget your glasses are hanging from your shirt... (CRUNCH!) another wad of cash out the window. Simply tired of throwing money out the window, and constantly worrying about damaging or losing them. Going back to $20 polarized aviators. These are only practical if you're completely inactive.

This is my 4th pair of Sugar Beach Maui Jim sunglasses! I have lost and or broken the others..but that is over a period of about 10 years. I love these glasses! They are lightweight and polarized and a classic shape! Great for everything! My most recent pair was stolen off from my front porch yesterday moments after being delivered...I called Sunglass Hut and they offered to replace them free of charge! Rachael was excellent on the phone too! Highly recommend!I have been a fan of Maui Job since around 1992 when I bought my first pair from a vendor on the beach of Maui! Well before they came to the mainland! It is all I will wear!

My third pair. Love these sunglasses. Light, easy to wear. Look great. Polarized lenses most effective. Really like that lenses curve to protect eyes from sunlight entering from the sides.

These are fakes. They look real-all the right markings & serial numbers, packaging, etc. I’ve been using them for a few years and I always sort of suspected it because they had so much glare that they were pretty useless in direct sun. I’ve purchased a replacement pair directly from Maui Jim, now I know for certain, this pair are not genuine Maui Jim’s. Do yourself a favor & only purchase directly from the manufacturer.

Die Mauis sind super, die Gläser, der Komfort und die Sicht sind fantastisch. Der Service von Maui Jim, wenn mal ein Bügel bricht oder ein Nasenpad verloren geht ist vorbildlich und schnell - und auch zu kundenfreundlichen Preisen. Und für alle „Lesebrillenträger“: Etliche der Mauis gibt es ab Werk als „Readers“, also mit einem kleinen eingesetzten Vergrößerungsglas im Sichtbereich um auch mal am Strand das Handy abzulesen oder ein Buch zu lesen.

Il pacco è arrivato prima della data prevista per la consegna e in perfetto stato. Questi occhiali sono bellissimi e super leggeri con la stanghetta dritta come piace a me. Li avevo già acquistati 5/6 anni fa ma non ero più riuscita a trovarli nei negozi convenzionali della mia zona. Grazie!

great sunglasses,so light you forget you are wearing them,vision is lovely & clear.being rimless lightweight glasses they do feel a bit fragile but with care i hope to get some life out of them.

My 12th pair of these superb ubersexy shades!(yeah, I'm not too careful when drinking or working: lost, scratched etc..) but will by only these ones again if needed. Five friggin stars!
