Excellent beginner guide.
To be honest, I was a little taken aback when I received the book because it was a lot smaller than I expected. But once I started reading it, I was very happy with the information. I just wanted an easy read on the Keto diet, and that's exactly what this book provided. It's right to the point and easy to understand the basics of this diet. Plus, a Keto diet is not a fad, it's been around for a good 90 years. If you're considering this diet, this book is a good jumping off point to see if it is something you could do. There a bigger books out there, but this one keeps it simple, and can help you decide if you want to delve further into this lifestyle.

Not bad, but very basic
I'm just learning about the diet (read Wikipedia and one Men'sHealth audible) and feel this was very basic. It's not a bad primer though. I just wish the author proofread this before putting it out. Bad grammar always undermines an author's message, in my mind.

Disappointing
I bought the book based on the reviews. I am going to be more descriptive. The book is a self-published, large font, VERY basic disappointment. I expected a more comprehensive explanation and a lot more detail (like the Atkins diet books I have read). I feel that I learned as much from this book as I would from a short Google search.

Don't waste your money and be careful who you read.
Don't waste your money. This book is ridiculously sparse in scientific credibility. While I appreciate the author attempting to simplify this diet method, the lack of credible sources makes it nearly a joke. While the author has written many books on weight loss I have yet to find a single biography detailing his credentials for writing such. The book has such general information as can easily be found available for free on the internet from credible professionals. Also, the book is horribly lacking in basic editing. The numerous grammatical errors (on nearly every page) add to my suspicions whether Orlando Scott is even qualified to write himself a note, much less weight loss advice. Look for credible sources when purchasing any health related materials and for God's sake Scott, get an editor!

Great Book especially if you are a beginner!
This book was a good read. I love how it has the Q&A in the back for some of the questions i actually had and were answered. Of course not everyone should go on a ketogenic diet. I tried this diet before but I failed in keeping up. I lacked discipline and if you have discipline and can keep a strict diet plan, then you will be able to manage the keto diet. If you are a beginner or already know some things about the Ketogenic Diet. You can still some find a lot of useful information here and for the price. you cannot go wrong!
