Portable Power Solutions POWER MAX Solar Charger (Black)

I've seen other solar chargers that are separate panels and battery packs but I wanted to buy an all-in-one unit. I saw this and bought two - one for my husband for father's day and one for me. I started working outside recently and needed to be sure my phone didn't die. I thought this would be a good solution. It is a manageable size, about 3 x 5 inches and fits in my small hands. It came with a short cord and a baggie of various adapters. I used one I already had for my Samsung Galaxy phone. When I initially got it, I plugged it into an outlet with my own adapter and plug. It charges pretty fast in my opinion. There are four lights that show how much it is charged (25-50-75-100%). The only downfall is that I wish it had a different colored light to show you when it is on for when I am charging my phone. There is an on/off button. Also, remember to remove the clear plastic cover on the solar panel. I didn't realize that until I read the item description here again.

Up to this point i couldn't be happier with this product. I have been looking through solar chargers for quite a while now, and finally decided on this one (especially after seeing all the paid reviews from allpowers products, I won't buy from a company that pays people to give them good reviews), and i'm glad i did up to now. I was skeptical about it due to the price, but i like this company. Amazingly, this thing showed up the day after i placed the order. When i got it, i charged it via usb and it worked fine. This is one of the few chargers i can find that actually charge my nook hd+, which makes me very happy. I am in the process of getting to know it before i get out in the field with it, so after using it to charge a few things, i tried charging it with the solar panel. It seems to take a while to charge this way, but what can you expect from a solar panel that has just over 11 sq. in.. After having it out for about 12 hours it seems to be charging back up just fine. As long as you have it out in the sun when it's not being used, it will work perfectly. It will probably take about three days of sunlight to fill it fully from being empty, but i dont plan on emptying it, so it will work fine.

Item arrived right on time. No matter how many home and auto power sources you can use this. I always seen to run out of power when I am somewhere other than home of the car. Battery pack will fit in your back pack, purse, or jacket pocket. Holds a charge for 2 months by my experience. Will work with Apple and Android devices. Comes with connections for most popular devices. I have not tried the solar charger yet, but have no reason not to expect it to work just as well.

I received my unit which was damaged in the mail. It worked, but I had some concerns. The owner of the company made things right immediately with no questions asked. The quality of the unit is good and all though the solar charger is some what slow, keep in mind that it is a huge battery. If you do the math on solar conversion, in direct sun, it can take as long as 40 hours to charge up. These solar back up chargers were meant as a means of topping off the charge, not the sole means of charging a unit back up.

Works good but takes forever to charge in the sunlight. I charge it with a phone charger and take it to work and camping with me. When its fully charged it will charge a phone from about 20% to full pretty quick and will charge it again but a little slower the second time. Battery last awhile when its not being used.

So far, the solar charger has performed well using Florida sunshine. USB plug-in back-up charger will keep the battery at full charge as advertised. I am charging my iPhone 5 using a stock lightning cable. PPS should consider adding the lightning adapter to the parts bag included with the charger.

Love the Power Max Charger. My last trip to the beach was a wee bit disappointing as my iPad and iPhone lost their charge. (I wasn't working: I was playing Scrabble and listening to music.) Not this trip! Thanks to the PM, my devices stayed charged all day every day. Thanks Portable Power Solutions. (Think I'll order one for my dad for Father's Day.)

Works as they advertised is slow to charge with sunlight. Also it will charge with light from lamps or of course from a USB port. Recharges several items like my cell phone and my Samsung Tab 3 and still have some charge (1green light) left.
