Q: Is the folic acid synthetic or natural? i have the mthfr gene mutation and must have no synthetic folic acid. thanks

Read the nutrition label. Tthe "seller" answer isn't entirely true. There is no Folic Acid. Instead, there is Folate (as L-Methylfolate). That is the exact thing you need for MTHFR genetic mutation. I too have MTHFR and I use these vitamins.

Q: how many caps in the bottle?

There are 60 capsules in the bottle I get for $30. You take one daily, so it's a two month supply. You can get a 30 capsule bottle for $16 or there are larger bottles too. The larger the bottle, the cheaper the price per capsule.
