Q: How do you get the bottom dough layer in? Is it difficult?

It is very simple. Lightly flour the tray first. You then simply lay your pasta dough over the top. It gets pushed to the bottom when you place your filling into each triangle. Once each triangle is filled with your particular choice of yumminess, you simply place your next layer of pasta dough over the top, roll it with the rolling pin provided to mesh them together and turn out.
