Awesome stone for the price. Extremely precise faces and very hard material. I use it for removing burrs and flaws from my small milling machine and vise bases.

Quick metal removal with 120 grit to reprofile axe blade then sharpen a bit with the 240 grit. I generally sharpen with a 400 and 800/ 1000 grit then strop for a camp axe. Thank you.

I'm happy with the performance and not having my fingers exposed - especially not having my fingers exposed. Get good file, modify it to not expose fingers, and use this to keep it honed.

I use this stone on a cnc mill before setting a vice on the table. It fits in the hand well and is exactly what I needed.

These stones are perfect for my shop. We use them on the magnetic chuck on grinders as well as on our kurt vises. Keeps the surface clean. Great stone at a good price.

Overall it is exactly what is needed to sharpen a hatchet/axe. If you hold it properly it keeps your hand on a distance from sharp edge of the blade.Unfortunately the item I got has signs of use, otherwise it would be 4 stars.
