Change Of Heart [DVD]

The film is based on a true story and the theme is infidelity. In this case it is the husband who cheats on his wife with a man. Jim Marshall (husband) has always been drawn to men but chose the easy way and married a woman with whom he has two children.On the surface this family seems to be an ordinary family with ups and downs. But when his wife discovers that her husband is cheating on her with another man hell breaks loose. The reactions follow a typical pattern: the wife gets hysterical and when the children are told that their father is gay they turn against him. The only sensible person seems to be a female friend of their mother's who manages to talk some sense into herThere are several films with this theme but "Change of Heart" is one of the best dealing with this complex topic. The acting skills are really very good. However, in my opinion there is too much focus on the wife and there is hardly anything said or shown about how the two men are going to deal with their new situation. I regard this as a moral bias. Anyhow, this is a very good film and I really enjoyed watching it. Highly rrecommended.

I think that this was made for American television, although not on DVD herein the USA. The storyline has been done before, but not with this degreeof taste and sublety. Based on a true story of a husband trying to hideand deny his gay feelings which he has difficulty dealing with. The performances simply cannot be faulted, and this is probably the bestexample of a story in the genre.

Beautiful movie... A tough subject treated with a lot of sensitivity and love. All the actors are perfect.
