PolyFoam 3-Layer Toe Separators, Medium, Pack of 12

I really like these foam toe separators and they are helping me delay surgery. I just wish they weren’t so expensive. Wouldn’t be bad if they lasted forever, but the glue or whatever holds the three layers together doesn’t last very long as I of course wash these in the sink with water after using between my toes every day. I have all three sizes, Small, medium and large. I wear two to three at a time on my foot that needs surgery.

Good price, well-made, very good design - unlike any I've found in local stores. These are longer & wider than a silicone type of separator I bought at a drugstore, but inside my shoes I can't feel any bulk or discomfort. They work much better than the thin silicone type. And it's great to have a dozen of them. I've only tried the Medium size so far - just what I needed.

I learned about these from my doctor. I sought medical help thinking I had an ingrown toenail, after examining my big toe the doc said it was not ingrown but was squeezed into the next one and recommended these as spacers. I felt immediate relief, and gradually my toe was trained into moving into its proper place. But my errant toe from time to time strays so I keep a supply on hand to retrain it back to its proper place.

I only wear a 7.5 shoe, and used the small for a long time to cushion the small toe, which otherwise got painful corns. I recently discovered that the medium actually works better; it helps to reach a bit past the small toe. One more thing that everyone else probably worked out already: put the larger portion toward the back, i.e. the sole of the foot. I've tried a lot of different things and this works best. I'm not crazy about the way they fall apart when I try to throw them in the washer, but still better than other options.

These are way too thick for me. I bought them to replace ones that I had that apparently are the extra small size. While these can be cut down the thickness remains the same So that wasn’t helpful. Because of the thickness, they actually push my big toe too far and that’s not good.
