Bought to replace two cheap fans i got in a bare bones kit.
Replaced two intake fans with these as one died randomly on me and I didn't want to take half measures and replace a single fan. I also purchased two ML120 fans to replace my CPU fan and my exhaust fan so I can't really give an accurate account of what just these fans did to lower my temps. With the full replacement(and I was using all cheap chinese fans) my CPU idles dropped to 28C from 33C, my CPU temps under load went from 82C at peak to 65C at peak, and my average CPU temps while gaming went from 67-70C to 50-55C. They also dropped my GPU temps from hitting 83C in somes games(1070ti mini) to now peaking at 72C. Just like the ML120 fans these can be quiet or loud depending on how you set up your fan curve, but if you are looking at these and have read reviews you probably already know they can get noisy. I can say if you're using exclusively air cooling and aren't ready to dish out money on an AIO water cooler these fans are a great way to get your temps way down

Quiet and powerful
I have spent so much money on fans from various manufacturers, both static pressure and air flow. Many seemed fine but don't quite push the air that this one does. i have these up to 85% speed since there is almost no audible difference from 50% - 85%. My static pressure fans i purchased would be louder at 50% and not push anywhere near the air that these do at same speed. I purchased 2 of these and put on my AIO rad. The difference is incredible! I have since replaced all my fans with these ones. The liquid temperature in my cooler is usually 5-10c lower than the actual cpu temp after long term max loads, on a 140mm rad that's very good, meaning they're doing their job and then some, while remaining quiet. I do admit that i have a push/pull with 2 fans on both sides of the rad, however it's so much cooler since i replaced my older (new) static pressure fans with these, much quieter and pushes so much more air across the fins. Only complaint is i lose RGB as it's just way too expensive to get these in an RGB variant.

Horizontally Mounted Bliss. Incredible.
I bought these fans a little worried that they were going to have the same mechanical sound that my stock 140mm fans that had come with my H110i. This was entirely not the case. They are unbelievably quiet and even upon startup they wind out to nearly top speed for a few seconds and sound nowhere near as loud as my stock corsair fans. They have great static pressure and I have noticed that since I turned my fan curve down to be 500 RPM at a loop temp of 25C I still have reduced temps by around 3C. 3C is nothing to write home about but considering it does it with about 33% lower RPM is incredible. I cannot speak for vertically oriented but having them face up in a pull configuration for a top mounted radiator is a big win for these fans. I have to practically place my ear against my top intake to hear any noise at all.

Phenomenal Fans
I do not experience the high-pitched squeal others have noted with these. Though it was an issue with some of my older ML fans. I have two of these running at 67%, and an ML120 at 75% and while they aren't dead silent, they're barely audible from a foot away. Below 50% they're utterly silent. At max RPM there is some noise, but I have my fan curve tuned in such a way that it is an extremely rare occurrence. They are a little bit pricey, but worth every penny. You don't want to skimp on cooling, and it sucks when a fan goes out and you don't notice until you have thermal issues. These MagLev fans will outlast every type of bearing fan out there.Great balance of CFM and static pressure.Buy with confidence. A one and done airflow solution.

Great fans for push, terrible fans for pull.
These fans do provide pretty high air flow through a radiator, but only in a push configuration will you reduce noise.I originally purchased this set of 2 for a push-pull setup, but once both fans were assembled the noise level sounded like a mini chainsaw inside my PC. I eventually tracked the problem to the fan doing the pull, as soon as I removed it from the configuration the noise level dropped considerably. The fan doing the push still provides plenty of forceful air through the radiator. With the single fan, the noise only really gets bad at 100 rpm. Also pc reports 1900-2000 rpm as max, not 1600 as stated in product information. So 97 cfm at 2000 rpm. But the fan is much quieter around 50% - 65% rpm.Using a 140mm alphacool NexXxos, in a thermaltake core v1.Core v1 owners should take note, the air flow (though a radiator) is better if the fan is placed behind the mounting area, when placed in front of the mounting area, the small gap between the fan an radiator will reduce airflow considerably. These fans also work great with the corsair commander if you want to control fan speed in windows rather than bios.

One of the SP140L's would make an annoying rattle or buzz while running around 1300 RPM's
Bought these to replace the Stock SP140L's that are included with the Corsair H115i. One of the SP140L's would make an annoying rattle or buzz while running around 1300 RPM's, which is where they run at most of the time so it was driving me crazy. Yeah there was ways around it but I really just wanted to check these out.The build quality is very good. The outer frame of the fan is thick and looks like it's built to last.Noise wise the are very quiet from 600 RPM's to around 1300 RPM's. After 1300 RPM's you can start to hear them moving the air. Maxed out they are very loud. I run the "Balanced" setting on Corsair link for the H115i and I can't hear them at all. On "Performance" mode they are still pretty quiet but you can hear a little bit of air moving.Overall I'm happy with these fans. They work great with the H115i so if that's your intended use then I don't think you'll be disappointed.
