Ignore the two previous answers as they are uneducated responses. Fermented BCAA’s are the same as any branch chain amino acids, except they have gone through a process of fermentation (which takes an exceptional amount of time) so that the body better absorbs them. Their bioavailability is increased by a wide margin due to the fact that healthy gut microbes flourish from fermentation. 80% of what you ingest is absorbed in the gut lining, making the fermentation much more important than you would think. I thought fermented bcaas were vegan, however I was unable to find anything in the description confirming this.. Does anyone know if these are?

The ingredient list contains no products that could be animal derived. Fermenting BCAAs require a starter that is either animal or plant based. Based on the ingredients, that starter is likely the beet root. It may be some other plant product from the ingredient list, though. Either way, plant based fermentation process. You'd see different ingredients on the label if it wasn't.

You could certainly use this as an energy booster as it doesn't have any stimulants that will make you itching to move like a pre-workout would be. It's essentially amino acids, energy, and a little bit of pump enhancer. The effects of the caffeine in this will likely last 1-2 hours.
