Takes some real torque!
Got this for an absolute b-buster of a brake job. Car was from Northern Maine, 4 years old. Fit the m14 splines on the VW with no problem. Used a long 1/2 breaker bar to break the caliper bracket bolts lose. Very durable, there would have been no way to complete this brake job without it.

Perfect.
Couldn’t find it in the stores anywhere, just ordered it and it worked perfectly. I used it to take some SSR Vienna Kries apart

Good tool,very fast shipping
Ordered tool evening, received next day afternoon with lowest cost shipping. Used this socket to remove rear wheel hub bolt on VW which are always torqued very tight. Had to use a breaker bar plus a piece of pipe. To install NEW bolt, torque was 130 ft.lb. plus 90 degrees. Socket worked perfectly and seems heavy duty. Nice heavy weight socket.

Fills the gap in most triple square kits.
Works as well as can be expected. Used it to remove lug bolts with no problems.

M13 for Jetta 2021 Rear Brake
If you have a Jetta 2021 and need to replace the rear brakes, you may need to have this M13 socket to remove the calipers. This fits great.

Well made, wish it were shorter
Like many of other reviewers here, I bought this to undo the rear calipers on a Volkswagen GTI. The socket did the job admirably, but was a bit too long for comfort. There's very little clearance behind the wheel hub, and fitting the socket with a ratchet head behind it could be challenge. This 1/2" drive version is a better tool for the job (as opposed to other 3/8" versions out there) as the bolts are in really tight, and you want the strongest ratchet you can fit in there.

Great socket but bad for tight spaces
I bought this socket to remove 2010 VW Golf caliper bracket bolts. Socket held up and was durable for sure, but I couldn’t remove the bolts because of the lack of space. Don’t get me wrong, not the sockets fault, but be sure you don’t need this for tight spaces, as it is pretty big. I had to go out and buy another set to complete the job.

works great for 2012 Jetta rear brake carrier bolts
I was asked to replace the rear rotors on a friends 2012 Jetta .. how hard could that be only 4 bolts to remove the carrier bracket.... easy .. nOT .. without this bit it would never happen you need a 1/2 " strongarm and 4 inch extension and 2 foot pipe to make a long lever i was pulling VERY hard and the tool never slipped or snapped so the job was complete i included a few photo's to show the tool in action. Quick shipping as well.

Well built and strong
I used this tool to replace my rear brakes on my 2011 Volkswagon Jetta. I was able to break free the caliper hanger bolts which were seized up by rust and lock tite. This bit did a good job and didn't break in the process.

Worked great for doing VW rear bearing replacement
I bought this to change the rear bearings on a VW Passat. It is very well built. It got the bolt out without much fuss and stood up to the torque of a 200lb man stepping on a 4ft breaker bar.Very well machined. I'm impressed with all of Capris tools I have bought so far!
