I want to use this with a 4 port 9.6a usb hub spliced to my car's fuse box using a fuse tap. will this product work for me and what else will i need?

You possibly need more help than can be provided on a product Q&A, but here goes.  First, what is the voltage input to your USB hub?  It may not be 5V.  It may, in fact, be 12V, which means you might not need this power supply.  When I have 12V loads, what I do is snip the power supply cord near the wall wart and insert anderson powerpoles.  That way I can run the device off the original wall wart or something else that puts out 12V like my car.  If you don't care about this, you can simply snip the end off the wall wart and butt splice it into the output of the power supply.  Next step: you need to consider whether you're going to remote the power supply from the USB hub.  If you do, you need to be concerned about the wire gauge between the power supply and the hub.  20A is a lot of current, which is why you might actually have 12V going into the hub not 5V.  The gauge will depend on the length of the wire and whether you're bundling it with other wiring.  If that run is long enough, you should use another fuse between the power supply and the hub at least on the positive side (some people put fuses on both the + and - sides) and as close to the power supply as possible.  Another consideration is that you might want to put an inline DC filter between your car and the power supply.  Any vehicle - car, airplane, or boat - can produce voltage transients during starting and stopping especially but at other times, too.  Modern electronics tends to require clean DC for longevity.  You can find inline DC filters at Powerwerx and some other places.

I need it to power 12 servos in my robot.can i draw around 15a at the 100w version safely ?

Your servos run off of 5 volts??  That's what this converter does.

How good is regulation on this unit? is it usb 5v quality regulation?

I found the regulation to be very good.  Certainly at least within +- 5% on the 5V rail.  It also regulated down to an 8V input (12V nominal).  It is running a raspberry pi and there have been no problems at all.
