Q: Can i hook my phone to this amp with an aux cord

I suppose you could with an aux to RCA adaptor, in my set up I have a Bluetooth head unit and that seems to work pretty well. I'm really pleased with the amp so far.

Q: help troubleshooting! Bought last summer, ran a few months, now it cuts off when you turn up volume and have to wait 10 minutes before restarting?

Disconnect your speakers and give it a try with just amp. Connect one set of speakers retest, follow same steps as it sounds like you either have a shorted cable or speaker. The overload thermal reset is kicking the amp out. Good luck!

No issues with mine pushing 2 subs and 2 mids.
