Great for in between cleans
Great little overall house vacuum for in between cleanings. I have had knee surgery and cannot clean like I used to. This makes a great robotic vacuum for hard surface and carpet that I run in between our house cleanings. Worth the cost!

Pretty good, the app sucks
The vacuum works well, it's easy to empty out and unclog things that get stuck in it. It drives around flawlessly. The app often needs reset, freezes or doesn't work.

Great value for the money
With the addition of a 75 pound polar Labrador retriever to our household. Shark cleaning system works well for animal hair removal.

Powerful suction. Great value.
I have owned a couple of robot vacuums of different brands in the past few years. I had Ecovacs and Roomba. They lasted two or three years than showed the biggest problems with their relative high maintenance or drained batteries. And I have been using Roborock S5 MAX over 8 months which includes vacuum and wet mopping features.I have 2 young children having school from home and my one year old toddler is making plenty of mess as well. And I don’t have much time to do daily sweeping and vacuuming. I have to say a pile of clutters accumulate my house everyday. The Shark IQ Robot Vacuum AV992 came out of the box almost ready to go. All I did is plug in the dock.It was recommended to download the app for your smart phone or tablet as it enables you to easily register your new Shark device. The setup was easy and quick. The app was user friendly so it took no wait to get the robot into working. It connected to wifi and it requires 2.4ghz signal only. It doesn't work on the 5G.It took several cleanings for the Shark IQ Robot Vacuum AV992 to walk through my house. It cleans row by row and then navigates room to room for complete home coverage. Comparing my Roborock’s random navigation, the Shark IQ catches the map more easily. And I made a mistake confusing it when I used it on both 2 stories. As it’s learning and navigating the way and making map by itself, it’s very confusing when it has two different maps to go. So I gave up and use it on our first floor only. It’s inability to navigate in areas where things were on the floor so I usually put all the stuff on the sofa in advance, such as our Ikea children chairs, music stand, baby walker, to make more space for the Shark IQ Robot Vacuum AV992 to navigate. My floor area is about 1000 square ft with tiles and hardwood. It took about one half hour to finish the cleaning job. This Shark IQ Robot Vacuum AV992 did detect the dirtiest areas and keep cleaning till clean. There were many missed spots on its very first go, but by third or forth time, no area seemed to go unnoticed. I could tell my carpet were clean! The battery life is another consideration. It powers the vacuum within 120 minutes, which is about how long it takes to vacuum my whole first floor. But from the app, it showed it cleaned only 353 square ft in 1hr 17mins. I don’t think it’s accurate. The roller and brush design has less hair wrapped than other robot vacuums. This Shark IQ Robot Vacuum AV992 can go over thick rugs easily but it was stuck on my sliding door track which never happened on my former robot vacuum and Roborock S5 Max.I didn’t setup connection with my Google home system. So I have no idea how the feature works.Overall, I am 9/10 satisfied with the Shark IQ Robot Vacuum AV992. The power is enough for me without pets in the house.

Not worth the money
Didn't pick up dog hair, that's the reason I got it. Update returning it,runs for a few minutes and docks. Going back to irobot.

Clever Vacuuming
I love the idea of having a robot doing my work for me, so this seems right up my alley. It is good quality (the price says as much), seems well made and is easy to unpack and set up getting it ready to work away. I so badly want to love it.First, when you order consider where you will keep it. There shouldn't be anything within three feet of the docking station. Then consider what area you are going to vacuum. Are there lots of obstacles or only a few areas you will need to cordon off? In my tiny house it came down to a hallway that the robot could work in and even that I had to move dog toys from and its only about 10 feet long. The robot does come with a cord to block the robot from going down stairways or getting in to corners with lots of cords which would be a necessity in almost any home.I also had trouble with the app. I provided a password, wrote it down as I entered the password. When I went to sign in to the app it stated that I had entered the wrong password or email. I only have one email, so that wasn't it. I tried and tried with the password and finally clicked on "reset password". That involved sending a reset code to my email. I tried several times to get it to send a reset code to my email and nothing ever appeared, not in spam, not in junk and for sure, not in my email. In fact, I have just repeated the entire process and I am not receiving anything.I give up and I am going to dock it at my daughter's house. She has bigger spaces that are open and brand new carpet, so this robot will have a ball and she will be pleased to let it do the work for her.I would recommend the Shark Robot but keep in mind my cautionary tale.
