Great Reusable Filter! Highly Recommended!
After being informed by a Honda Dealership that I needed to replace my air filter (and them informing me that they wanted to charge me +$75 to do this), I decided purchase and install this K&N Air Filter in my 2006 Honda Civic EX in an effort to save money.Included in packaging:1. K&N Filter2. A sticker to place on your air filter housing that reminds mechanics not to replace and throw away your K&N Filter (the filter is reusable: simply wash, dry, and replace when dirty).3. Instructions and care informationThe installation of this filter was extremely easy and took less than 5 minutes to complete (no tools required).Upon installation, I immediately noticed a slight change in performance in my Honda Civic. I am averaging 1-3 additional mpg per fill up after the installation. The true beauty of this filter is that it is reusable. Whenever you are due to change your air filter, simply remove your K&N filter, run water through it in order to remove the dirt build up, and let it dry before reinstalling. Buy this filter and you should never have to replace your air filter in your car again for as long as you own your car ($ saver). If you are not a "do it yourself" type person, I would still buy this filter on Amazon and have your local mechanic install it for you. Shoot...hire me and I will install it for you (sorry I don't come cheap)!Sure this filter is more expensive than most other filters out there, but if you purchase this filter you should never have to replace your air filter ever again. This filter will not only save you money in the long run, but it will improve your mpg performance (roughly 1-3 mpg for me).I highly recommend this filter!

It works as advertised, but don't expect mileage to jump.
I have used K&N filters on my last 3 vehicles over the last 7 years ranging from pickup truck to sport car and they do work to allow more air into the intake. On every application I used these filters, I can tell the throttle response is faster and my mileage did improve slightly - by about a mile per gallon or so.When I read some of the reviews on the various sites, some drivers say they get 3 - 4 mpg more. I've never found this to be true. If it was, with the price of gas in CA being over $4.50 per gallon, I'd think all the SUV dealers and automotive manufacturers would put these filters into all their vehicles to push their SUVs out the door - wouldn't you? Most likely, the reviewer's car was probably new and was still being broken in and the increase in 3 - 4 mpg was attributed to the breakin period along with a little boost from the K&N.I like the K&N filters and have used them for a long time in all my cars. They save a lot on filter costs over the life of the car and gets me a little bit more on mpg. They never caused any problems in any of the cars I owned, but I don't drive off road or in dusty rural areas either.Hope this helps.

Reusable and great quality
Great quality. Have K&N filters in all my current and past cars/suvs. Mostly for the reusable feature but slightly less RPMs at cruising speeds as compare to normal filters. Not a significant fuels save but it adds up over the miles. The engine feels “lighter” as if it can breathe better.

drop-in replacement notably adds power
This drop-in replacement fit my 2006 Honda Civic EX perfectly, taking only 3-4 minutes to install (no tools required). The fit is just as good as the Honda OEM filter. The filter is notably skinnier than the standard filter.Throttle responsiveness immediately felt peppier-- a quicker response when pressing the accelerator, a little more power on call (granted, the replaced air-filter was moderately dirty) But, the car hasn't felt this peppy since it was new.Unlike others here, I have not noticed any notable variation in gas mileage. No noteworthy change in engine noise. My only complaint is, why didn't I get one of these earlier, having been through a number of Honda OEM filters in the car's previous 79K miles? I put the included "don't throw me away" sticker on the airbox, hopefully the Honda dealer's technicians will respect that when I have the car serviced.Highly recommended.

Replaced a dirty OEM filter with this and got 3.5 MPG better!
I bought a used 2007 Honda Civic Coupe a few months back. I was disappointed that the fuel economy was lower than expected, then I pulled the air filter and it was filthy. My brother had used this same air filter, the K&N washable and liked it. I just installed it and did my first before and after fuel economy check. The driving conditions were identical, a good mix of city street and highway and my MPG went from an average of 28 (before) to 31.5 (after). Much more in line with the averages I was expecting from this vehicle based on my driving style. I haven't washed the filter yet but will update this post when I do. So far this is the fastest easiest and cheapest way to gain fuel economy, I am kicking myself in the butt for not having done it the day I bought the car. If you have never changed an air filter in a vehicle it's about as easy as changing your wiper blades. In the Honda it's a snap, no tools required!Update: Still driving aggressively, loving it and still getting 30+MPG every fill-up!
