We put this bell on our back fence for when the neighbor kids want to visit with our dog. We could definitely use a louder bell. Fortunately the dog can hear better than we can and she runs to the door for her visit when they ring it. It's holding up nicely; even during our crazy northern Ohio weather. The bell is well-made and very pretty.

Very nicely made brass bell. Seems a lot of the brass products are coming from India and NOT China. Would certainly prefer India over China any day. Brass bell I received is exactly as advertised. It's mount is pretty sturdy but could be just a bit heavier for my taste.

Easy to install although it would have been nice if screws were included. Nice size and decent tone.

Good bell for the price. It's not highly refined, but for a dinner bell or novelty, this is a good product.

The rope is dirty kinda looks rusty as well.

We purchased this to hang on our play system clubhouse swing set. The accessories that came with the play set were all nautical themed (ships wheel, telescope, binoculars, etc), so this real bell was perfect!

Bought this to mount as a target for a kid's party game. Hit the bell with a beanbag or a nerf dart, move on to the next task.First warning: the bell didn't come with a clapper or a pull to actually ring it. Okay, i thought, I can rig something up with some spare hardware, no big deal.Then, even though I wasn't going to actually use the installation parts, there were none in the box. Again, not a huge deal, since this was just going to be secured to a post in a concrete block as a game target.The next day after securing the bell to the post with anodized deck screws and some rubber washer standoffs to keep the metals from touching, I came out to find......rust spots.Also, streaks of what appear to be salt oxidation.Keep in mind I do live in a maritime climate (approximately 3 miles from the nearest body of brine/saline water, which is the Puget Sound) but there is NOWHERE near the level of salt in the air around my home that would account for spontaneous rust.This is labeled for use as an outdoor bell.I'm not expecting solid brass. I'm not even expecting stainless steel.What I AM expecting is that a bell advertised to be an outdoor item comes with a clapper, a ringer, installation hardware, and doesn't show rust spots within 8 hours of being exposed to air with more than 60% ambient humidity.I mean, if all you want is a crappy bell decoration for the inside of your house somewhere that humidity of any kind is NOT, this is probably exactly what you're looking for.If you were looking for something the listing claims it to be, you are better off buying something that is forged/poured from something that is NOT whatever hot garbage was used to make this thing.

Installed this on a boathouse on a freshwater lake and got many positive comments. High quality. Beautiful.
