Bought two of these back in 2017 (one in March, the other in May) One I rarely use but it still runs when needed. The other has been running nearly NON-STOP ever since. Like literally I just keep it on 24/7 with very few exceptions. (I live in FL so the handful of days of winter-ish weather (a.k.a. when it gets below 60 degrees Fahrenheit lol) is the only time when I bother to turn it off. Even then I miss the noise (these are industrial and not very quiet but I actually love that). But yeah, these suckers are just STILL kicking. I will say that the plastic doohickey that keeps the control on did break on one of mine but not on the other - that bit is a wee bit fragile it seems, but to me, since it doesn't impact the fan's actual ability to do what it needs to do, it wasn't worth deducting a star. This thing blows so much air that I can't really even aim it right at me most of the time - I actually aim this up at the ceiling and the cycling air movement cools me off w/o practically blowing me away LOL. These are magnificent air-movers. I also do use it in conjunction with a window a/c that doesn't have good air reach because the window is in the far corner of the room, and this keeps my room nice and icy everywhere instead of only where the a/c unit can blow. Definitely a worthy investment!

Bought this to circulate air throughout my home. This unit ran 24 hrs a day,7 days a week for 5 and 1/2 years without an issue. (Note our first one by Lasko ran 6 years no issue, same unit) On low it is very quiet. Up on high you will hear it. It moves a lot of air and keep the house air circulating reducing electric and heating bills while ensuring no cold or hot spots. Simple maintenance: wipe down the outside cage as needed. Unplug remove the outside cage and wipe down the blades every two to three months. - Value: Ran a long time for the money - Durability is Solid: 5 plus years running all the time - Silver and Black not the prettiest things but easy to clean looks ok and works well I recommend and will be buying my third one. The family loves this fan. Does Not have a remote control

I am Very particular and research most items before purchasing, that being said i researched alot of fans before i purchased this one. The intended purpose is garage use to circulate air in our 20x20 Florida garage when i am out there working. I have an existing outlet to plug a fan into on the front and the right and left wall and wanted a fan that i could position anywhere in the garage based on where i needed the air flow. The exact fan i purchased was the Lasko 2265QM fan silver in color. The Good.....Fan arrived in two days and was not damaged during shipment . Fan was easy to assemble as most of it was together but the center tube of the stand and the switch mounted to the tube. very minimal assembly with no tools needed. The finish in silver was consistant with no scratches or flaws and paint was overall in excellent shape. Out of the box everything looked ok. The Bad...... A couple of things became apparent during unpacking during the light assembly, the Biggest negative being the rubber grommets to hold the fan in the tilt position did not keep the fan held in place and the motor placement caused the fan to tilt upright some rather than stay in a vertical position. The switch housing made out of plastic could have been more robust and durable. The knob mounting bolt is threaded into a metal bushing and you do not want to over tighten the knob for fear the plastic housing will break. The fan control seemed a bit lightweight as well and an after thought is although it is very convenient to have the speed control on the front it may not be the best position for long term durability. perhaps the speed control on the back side motor housing would be more durable. The cord is three prong and heavy duty and would have been better at 10 ft in length. the cage that surrounds the aluminum blades is metal and is well build for protecting the blades over the cheap plastic shrouds you see on other fans. The Ugly ... the first thing out of the box i had to correct was the fan not staying in a vertical position. The bolt on each side is a 5/16 carriage bolt with a shoulder and does not turn as you tighten the Nylok 5/16" nut which is good. However the rubber bushing does not keep the fan positioned even with the nut tightened all the way in till it hits the shoulder and can not be tightened any further. The fix is to take the nut off the bolt and shim it with a fiber washer ,metal washer, or additional lock washers so that when the nut get's tightened there is sufficient friction to hold the fan in place. Both sides were altered with shims to address the loose condition, however in doing so one bolt fell out and the fan cage had to be taken off to position the bolt back into the fan shroud. the swinging clips-all 8 or so were very difficult to open to release the front half of the shroud and there is a small screw in the lower part of the shroud that has to be removed to split the shroud. Once a 5/16 fiber washer, flat washer, and external lock washer was added to each bolt the loose fan positioning was corrected. may be a future issue down the road. more compression on the rubber grommet will probably break down faster and cause the grommet to crack and fail. The switch was mounted with the one single knob with screw and tightened snug only and not over tightened, cracking the switch that is wired midpoint on the fan wires would not be an easy fix! The short cord was remedied already because i had bought a 10 ft medium heavy extension cord for our shop vac when i vacuum out the car. Fan Noise...........my school of thought.... less air movement equals quieter fan, less air movement means fan closer to where your working. Being this is a fan for a 20 by 20 garage i was less concerned with the noise and more concerned with the air being moved and if the fan made too much noise i could position it a bit further away from where i am working. Reported cfm for this fan is 3160 cfm on low, 3320 cfm on medium, and 3460 on high speed. My garage is small and when the car is inside i have approx 8' by 19' space on one side, of which the grill, lawnmower , pressure washer, tool boxes, charging station . and two cabinets take up 2/3 of the area. my work bench is a 3' square of 1/2" plywood modified so it sits on top of our open square plastic garbage can. This fan sits on top of the lid on our recycling plastic square can and the balance of the fan even on high is well enough it will not vibrate and fall off. Others have mentioned the cyclic type noise on low speed and i did not find that to be a problem or objectionable in my case. yes the back of the fan motor is plastic and seems rather chincy for a fan that is advertised as industrial! Took me a few hours on online research on google, Youtube, as well as forum reviews to find out that every fan or product made has it's strengths and weaknesses and after all my scouring the internet decided to go with the Lasko brand and the fan that had the most ratings or purchases. this is the same fan as the black in color 20" Lasko fan item 2264qm other than color. switches could have slight differances as well. If i was looking for a quieter fan for a different in house situation this would not be the fan of first choice.

I got this for my fiancé who can’t sleep without a heavy duty fan We had bought a $50 one from Walmart same brand plastic fan And he DESPISED it I heard about it every night before bed how that was the worst purchase of his life lol! I got this one and oh my goodness I can’t step out of the bathroom without feeling like I’m stepping into a category 3 maybe even higher hurricane 😂 he is a human heater so he LOVES it but I’m a cold blooded human and it’s getting cold out so I’m freezing No complaints tho he’s happy so I’m happy I’m glad to have made this purchase 10 out of 10! It’s barely more noises than the other fan but a million times more powerful it give a nice peaceful almost relaxing sound Heavy duty very durable ! Decent size but not too huge ! Not very heavy either but sturdy!!! :) Obviously airflow is amazing 🤩 And functions better than I could’ve ever dreamed 😅
