The charging time with the external charger takes about 50 minutes

Q: Are the batteries for c+ interchangeable with d+?

The only difference between the C+ and D+ batteries is the white end cap. If for example you have one battery for C+ and one for D+, it would be possible to move move the cap from one battery to the other.That been said, if you plan to buy new batteries I suggest you buy the correct ones for the model you have. This will save you the time of changing the caps each time.Hope this helps,Tom

There is a indicator red LED light that will turn off once the battery is fully charged.

Q: Why 3 conections on this battery

The Li-ION battery has 3 terminals, positive (+), negative (-), and the third terminal is connected to the internal thermistor. That enables the charger to measure the battery temperature, basically required to charge the battery safely. Thanks Google.
