Feels great, very convenient
Connecting it to any device is fairly easy once it's paired and that's pretty convenient for me since I switch between my Nintendo Switch and PC quite often. The controller looks and feels great and it's got a nice weight to it, it's a little lighter than a Switch Pro Controller or Xbox Series controller but it doesn't feel cheap or plastic-y. The D-Pad is a big selling point and it's absolutely a good D-Pad, feels great to use and isn't mushy or clicky like other controllers. It's a versatile and high quality controller and I think it's worth the price especially since it's cheaper than a Switch Pro Controller.

Best controller since the Playstation
This thing!!!Oh this thing is amazing. So I was about to buy a new wireless xbox controller for use with my PC but I also needed a Switch controller because I hate the Joycons. The Switch Pro controller alone is expensive, and so is an Xbox Controller. Probably would of spent close to £100 buying both of them. Then I learn about this little beauty. This thing was way cheaper than both of them. I think it was about £38 at the time I bought it. I could buy 2 of these and it would still be less money than those other 2 devices. Anyways let's talk about the device itself.Absolutely incredible to use, because it's very light (I hate heavy controllers and big bulky ones. Looking at you Xbox). Growing up I was a SNES, SEGA and Playstation fan. Never really had an Xbox until later in life and was never a big fan of them. I do like the controller though just a big too big and chunky in my opinion but the biggest thing. I love the placement of the Analog sticks on this device, and I hate the position of them on the Xbox (yep that argument lol but everyone's different). I am one of those who are different. I know a lot like the Xbox positioning but for me who grew up with Playstation this just feels so right. So the device as I say is even better because it saved me money by allowing me to buy one device rather than two. As this device can be used on my PC and Switch, and well even Android devices but who games there, no one. Sorry I mean, apparently everyone, GRR! I hate mobile gaming. Sorry moving on. This old man is very happy with this device and I highly recommend it. I now tell everyone I know about it.One minor thing when using it on my Switch, it sometimes goes a tad funny but doesn't usually last long. It's as if the sticks don't move properly, or they drift. I know the Switch Joycons have a drift issue, I kept wondering could it be related but surely not as I believe that's the device itself? not the overall machine.Haven't really noticed this on anything but the Switch though. Still I highly recommend the device. It's amazing.

Brilliant and is recognised as Xbox
Controller is 5star, the fact that I can play any pc game pass' game with out controller support downloads etc like ds4 is all I was after as I hate Xbox controller layout, only thing that lets this down is its software download for remapping and configuration if u need too which I don't , well not yet anyway but I did take a look and it was the best done . But it works totally fine for what I need from it

A very good option for multi-platform controllers
If you're looking for a controller that can work on switch, pc, android or mac, this has got to be one of the best options out there. Comfortable grip that fits well in the hands, robustly built with a classic style d-pad. The abxy buttons are laid out for the switch, and they are *not* clicky. They remind me somewhat of the old xbox 360 controller buttons, but flat. The sticks are comfortable enough and seem precise. If you aren't a fan of the dualshock-style controller, look into the 8bitdo Ultimate - that one has Hall effect joysticks (no drift!*) and an offset layout. That would have been my preference, but this one was on sale for a really good price.

Perfect for almost every need.
As a serious gamer, I've experienced a lot of controls and I am comfortable with any, whether it's KB&M on my gaming PC or the DS4 on my ps4, the dualsense on ps5 or my xbox controller on my S/X or PC. Even the steam controller via steamlink. I've never come across some unusable hardware, that is until a few weeks back when I finally got around to buying a switch. Having spent a lot on the switch, screen protector, case, memory card and of course games, I didn't want to spend much on a controller as the switch comes with the joycons (which whilst usable and premium feeling, are too small for me) I bought a £15 one off Amazon, boy did that feel cheap despite the glowing reviews. A week later I couldn't take it any more and bought the 8bitdo pro 2, and what a huge difference!Out of everything I'd say this is the second best controller I own after the dualsense for ps5. The 8bitdo feels like a dualshock 4 to use, with the same position for analogue sticks. However, whilst I needed to pair my last controller, this literally just worked, I pressed the start button and instantly it was there, working. It does NOT feel cheap, it has some weight to it (the last controller had no weight and felt awful) and the Directional/D-pad is nice. What I love however is the switch on the back being able to switch between android, switch, IoS and PC etc. I tried this on my galaxy tab s6 and the firestick on TV (which by the way, has an app called antstream which lets you steam (for free!) hundreds of games from the 8/16bit era with Megadrive/Snes/Amiga titles like chaos engine, sonic etc (you get adverts or can pay £40 for a year, which often goes on sale for £20) and this controller is perfect for that. It's size is perfect for everyone, it's not too small, not too big, and doesn't have buttons placed in ridiculous places where you accidentally hit by mistake.Latency is good also! The ONLY gripe I have is it doesn't turn on the switch by hitting the home button (at least, i don't think it does, i tested it once and haven't since) but it's not a problem as you can leave it next to a joycon.I honestly love this controller and it's absolutely worth the extra (even though it's still cheap! I got it at £30. It's probably my second best controller i own out of a ton of them.I can not talk about the rear buttons yet as I haven't updated the firmware (at least, I assume so, I never read the manual as it literally just worked out the box) as it's only being used on my switch at the moment which I've found most games are quite light on needing buttonsHonestly, it's a great purchase.

Great controller!
I love this 8bitdo controller! It's worked well for me, has a nice design, and I absolutely love how versatile it is! The vibration gets a little annoying for my wife so I just connect the app and turn it down. Different button layout presets and complete controller settings, vibration control, stick sensitivity and deadzone. Just flip the switch to go from Switch to PC to mobile. Of course the only issue is that when my wife plays games with me on PC, she can't rely on the button names being correct. I could remap her controller, but some games it is important which button is where on the controller for easy playability. Regardless, that's a Nintendo and Microsoft problem having to be different, not 8bitdo's. I digress. As far as I know, you can't wake the Switch with this controller, but I will deal with that in order to have compatibility with so many systems.TLDR: This is a reliable, comfortable controller that easily connects to Switch, PC, mobile, etc. and allows you to customize tons of stuff in the app, set different button layouts, adjust stick sensitivity and deadzones, vibration control, and more, and even the motion controls are quite good on Mario Kart for example all at an affordable price point. Only real downside is no NFC and inability to wake the Switch with the controller (as far as I know). 10/10 recommend!

A fine controler
I use it for retrogaiming on RPI 2, 3 and my laptop. It works fine with a cord and on Bluetooth. The grip is good, the action knobs work fine and it comes with a good manual.

8bitdo Pro2
