I have been using this for several months and have the Alexa and something else plugged into it. It is not hot, it sits on a plastic storage box and is ok and not melting anything. So I asked my electrical engineer husband if this is grounded. He read the description and he said it had enough volts to be fine. It appears to be grounded and has good capacity.

I know it has Ul tag but I don't know what it is rated.tag I also know off the top of my head that the plastic that it's made out of won't catch fire and it has a braided cable and I haven't had an issue with mine in the months that I've had it it's plugged in all the time I use it the chargers on it I use that thing constantly well worth the money great product!

Q: Is this safe to use for a printer?

Technically, since this isn’t a surge protector, it’s probably okay, but I wouldn’t recommended it. Printers have a power surge when first powering on or waking up that can trip the breaker in a surge protector. However, the main reason I wouldn’t use this for a printer is because printers use grounded plugs, but this power strip itself isn’t grounded. The best scenario for home printers is to be plugged directly into the wall.
