Here are some fun easy recipe to get you started: Sumac-Dusted Oven Fries Serves 2 to 3 4 medium-sized russet potatoes 1 tablespoon olive oil Salt to taste2 tablespoons sumac Preheat oven to 350°F. Peel potatoes. Slice the potatoes into 1/2-inch strips. Toss with olive oil and a pinch of salt. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. Roughly chop the reserved potato in half. Cook in salted boiling water until soft. Drain and roughly mash with a fork. When the fries are done, remove from oven and toss with sumac. Serve with your choice of spread on the side. Pita with Za'atar 5 pita pockets 4 Tablespoons olive oil 2 Tablespoon USimplySeason Za'atar pinch salt (optional) Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Slice pita open so that one side is smooth and the other side is rough. Place open pita rounds, with the rough side up, on a cookie sheet. Mix oil and zahtar in a small bowl. A pinch of salt can be added if desired. Brush the rough side of the pita rounds with the za'atar and oil mix. Toast the pita with zatar for approximately 6-8 minutes or until just lightly browned.
