This clamp is designed to fit into the Kreg pocket screw drilling jig and ought to be included with the jig kit because other clamps with disc ends may not fit. This one fits so well that the clamp stays with the jig between uses. Once you remove the drilling jig and start to screw two pieces of wood together, you ought to clamp the wood also because the screws want to push the joint out of square. I built a jig with thumb clamps adjusted for 3/4 to 1 inch stock but you could use this clamp for that stage of the process too.
