No metal brackets. Wood is glued and smooth finish.

The description says weight limit is 275 lbs.

Q: the chair broke the first time we used it. how do we replace it?

Have no idea other than returning to manufacturer. They're difficult to pull into a seating position. They appear to be well made, however.

Q: Do these chair backs contour to your back, or are they as flat as they look in the picture? Are they comfortable?

They are flat, but comfortable for a folding chair.

Elegant Folding Chairs

I was delighted that these chairs proved to be as good as they looked in the pictures. No assembly, blended in with my expresso colored dining table and chairs. They are easy to store and are a nice touch when I need extra seating!

AH-Mazing chairs!!!

We all have those gatherings that end up with 1 or 2 more people than you have chairs - these are the perfect solution without having that person feel like they're in a child's chair. They are sturdy, super easy to fold up & down. The feet are very rough on the bottom however, so to protect our floors we added a felt bottom - problem solved!!

Good quality chairs

Received as ordered. Not exactly the same as my dining set, but close enough for when I need extra seating. Sturdy and comfortable. Locks in place for stability. Folds for easy storage.
