STAY AWAY - DO NOT BUY Unless:
Don't buy it as a learning project. Parts were missing. There were parts that even two EEs couldn't ID. Directions are a riot to read. The Chinese to English interpetor should be fired!Makes a fine looking clock that doesn't work.BTW: There is no way to find technical help with the project.

A very nice looking kit.
Thermistor looks like a diode and is referred to as a Ri7 on the edge of the board. This was a mystery at first. Other than that the kit went together well. Plated through holes on the PC Card were a real plus for this affordable kit. The outer case was interesting to put together, it reminded me of a Chinese puzzle, however it it quickly fit together and makes the project look nice. The resistors were a challenge to see the colors on the blue case, but an ohm meter made things easy to make sure. There was an extra resistor of each value, and extra screws and nuts as well.

Surprised me that when I finished assembling the kit following horrible instructions that it actually worked. Actually enjoyed the assembly once i figured what went where.

Excellent
I know I have some experience when it comes to electronics. I also had to file the soldering points down flat before fitting the LED screen to make it fit snug and nicely. But with some good will and ideas and yes, some experience, this was a great project. I bought two more, one in green and one in blue and we have them all over the house. All parts were included and even if the descriptions took some time to fully understand, I got them done in good time. The first one about an hour, the second one about 30 min, the third one in 25min....Looking forward to the next project (i did about 30 now and just love them all)......Keep up the spirits people, it is a small price to learn something...maybe you have to do some research on the www...?? should be no problem for the young people of today...I am over 50 and still love these little projects....Good luck
