The Worst Night Ever (Class Trip, 2) Review: Fun Read - As with Dave Barry's other works, this one was engaging and funny and it held the young reader's attention. Win - Win! Review: Best Book Ever - Dave Barry is a great author in general. We love that he now has children's books as well. My son LOVED this book. He checked it out at the school library but loved it so much he had to add it to his collection. My son had a speech competition at school (they were supposed to memorize and perform prose) he memorized a few pages from this book to perform and ended up being one of three third graders in the whole school to make it to the finals - competing against the finalist from fourth and fifth grade. Even the older kids enjoyed his prose and have since read the book. He enjoyed this book more than the Worst Field Trip Ever.

Totally enjoyed reading this book to my son
Totally enjoyed reading this book to my son! The continued story of Wyatt Palmer was fun, captivating and exciting. Just another one of Dave Berry's winners. We hope he writes more.

Another fun read from Dave Barry
Dave Barry is a genius at combining outrageous humor with suspense. His plotting, characters, and situations are original, delightful, zany, and believable in his “nowhere but in south Florida would this happen” inimitable style.

Barry Entertaining
Dave Barry has done it again...a fun read for the younger generation AND adults too! With the possible release of a Komodo dragon, deathstalker scorpions, deadly African ants, a lethal black Mamba snake, poison dart frogs and Brazilian spiders into the general public, young Wyatt Palmer, his sister and a couple of their friends need to thwart a dangerous situation from occurring. Mystery, wit and page turning drama roll this into a crafty tale for all ages. Very enjoyable.

My 11 year old son absolutely loved this book
My 11 year old son absolutely loved this book, as well as Dave Barry's class trip book. My son does not enjoy reading at all, and it is always a struggle for him to do it. He read this book very quickly and actually enjoyed it. I can't really give a review of the book since I didn't read it, but the fact that my son was asking for more of these books is a huge compliment to the author.

Yes, but...
This is a very entertaining book. Wyatt, friends and enemies are believable, and the reader roots for them immediately. The Worst Night Ever is a good read, as Wyatt and his (annoying) sister are so likeable, and Wyatt's sense of humor is so strong with a fourteen-year-old Dave Barry's sense of humor. It makes the book worthwhile. I won't give details of the plot because they're fun to read. But suspension of disbelief becomes complete disbelief when a new character, the Fish and Wildlife Inspector, comes into the picture out of the blue. And when Bevins, a wealthy, influential, highly respected man in the community puts himself in the position of publicly carrying out a crime - well... slick bad guys don't work that way. He would have vanished rather than have his fingerprints on the crime, and the reader knows it. Nevertheless, it's a good read.

Funny AND Exciting
Two 12-year-old grandsons, with very different personalities, both LOVED this book. We think Dave should write more books for this age group (when he is not writing more books for their grandmas)!
