Irwin Tools 53908 Irwin 13mm Bolt Extractor 3/8" Drive size- Bulk

Works unbelievable, if you’re any kind of do it yourself person this thing is unbelievable. Took a destroyed drain plug out in seconds.

Some jackball tightened the oil drain plug with an impact gun. I stripped the bolt trying to get it off. The tool worked perfectly for me.

We had a wheel bearing bolt that was severely stripped/rounded and overtorqued, spec was 118 ft-lbs, but this was probably in the 150 ft-lbs range. I tried all my sockets at home and it only made the situation worse. So I got a set of bolt extractor sockets at my local hardware store that were supposed to be strong material - they were a matted silver color - and tried those on this bolt. To my dismay, the socket got bent out of shape and the bolt was in even more rounded off. So I decided to get this as a last effort before finding a professional, and it worked! I had put in a few hours probably trying to get this out, but after getting this extractor socket, I lightly hammered this on, give it a hard twist, and the bolt was out in 2 minutes.

Decided to change my oil after PEP Boys did last change. I was unable to get the drain plug to loosen and ended up stripping it. Tried several different tools with no success. Ended up using a pump extractor through the dip stick. Seen this item and decided to give it a try. Put it on the end of my biggest wrench (2 foot long torque wrench), it gripped and loosen it in seconds. Never thought I would ever get the plug loosen. Worked great!

It's odd that I wouldn't buy a set of these, but my husband needs this exact size for removing the oil drain plug on our Chevy SIlverado, due to the last time someone did the oil, they stripped it, which made life extremely difficult. As soon as we received this item, it didn't spend much time in its packaging that my husband was already under the truck fiddling with it. A few minutes later, problem was solved.This little attachment made our lives easier, and was cheaper than going to the local auto parts store. Yeah, it took a couple of days for shipping, but it was worth it.
