Lethal

The heroines I have read about lately including the one in this book make me feel sick. They have zero pride. The supposed hero in this book Blade treats her like dirt until around 90% of the book. He says deeming things to her like making fun of her lack of education including her poor reading skills. Also he lets her believe on more than one occasion that he is out screwing other women and at the same time telling her that he will kill her if she sleeps with OM. She is supposed to accept him sexing OW. In fact he tells her that if he wants to do it with OW in front of her than she will watch him with a smile on her face. He tells her that he could never be faithful. Intead of leaving him the idiot keeps telling him how much she loves him but then is shocked and hurt when he doesn’t say it back. Total doormat. She is desperate to hold onto him so she does something that shows what a pathetic scared and needy person she was. Just sad.

Yeah, I don't think so. Another story of sexual coercion, sex trafficking, emotional, and mental abuse being passed off as romance, and another pathetic, woman of no self-worth and less self-respect. We're supposed to buy this travesty of abuse and exploitation masquerading as a couple falling in "love" for the sole reason that the "romantic" male lead, Jason/Blade is physically attractive and wealthy -- all the bad behavior being excused by the fact that he's a biker after all. That is the entirety of the justification for Eve striving to make Jason/Blade love her as much as she "can't help" loving him. So if you are one of those people who thinks debasement at the hands of a man is NOT a sure sign of a man's respect and love, then this shallow twaddle will probably make you more than a little angry. Below is the quote from page 142 that was the last straw for me:“If you’re unhappy with her, leave her with me. I guarantee I can train her for you.” His voice almost purrs.“How much would you give me for her?” He pulls me in front of him facing the man. I whimper as he pushes my hair off my face. “She’s young and beautiful but I bought her for a lot of money… so I’d need you to give me more." Vaguely I realize I’m not breathing, but air is still filling my lungs. The room is blurry and the fear is so painful that if Jason wasn’t holding me up I would be on the floor. The large man reaches to touch my cheek and I think I hear Jason hiss. But he allows the man to touch me all over. When his large dark hand goes toward my pussy, Jason snarls, “Enough. How much?” The man looks at Jason then me. “Five hundred thousand. I can see her going for maybe a million.” He motions for Jason to enter his office. Sobbing, I cling to him; his gravelly voice is at my ear. “Half a million dollars is a lot of money, Angel. I’ll give you a choice: you can go with Jordan and be sold, raped, and broken or you can know who owns you.” He lets go of my neck and I scream as he tries to detach me from him. Somehow, he turns me to face him. My nails still dig into his forearms and he grabs my face with both hands. “Who. Owns. You?” His green eyes are fierce and if I hadn’t seen firsthand how much of a monster he is I think I’d see remorse."Yup, another story putting forward the notion that women SHOULD love men who treat them like trash. I mean, hey, he's hot after all, rides a motorcycle and has a lot of money from drug dealing, what more could a woman want. If you aren't that shallow, have more self-respect and expect female heroines to have more depth and self-worth, then this isn't the story for you.

Wow.... 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.... I don't even think there is enough flames for this book! I legit need to go stick my head in the freezer!!! I am so freaking in love with Blade and Eve! Are you kidding me right now??? This book had so much greatness that I am absolutely amazed that I was able to finish it in one day.... (we won't talk about how many of my work hours were spent reading and not working). Do you ever just want to jump into a book and slap the person you are reading about? Well that happened to me today..... MANY TIMES! Despite all the crap that Eve had went through in her life she was still so open to love... and when she felt it she let it be known! That took a bravery that not many women, or even men who face down gun men, posses! I will say that I may have a bit of a girl crush. Blade was H.A.F!!! Holy hell! That man damn near set my panties on fire! A time or 2 I thought my Kindle might melt! The ending totally left me wanting more! I want more from this world! I need more of these characters! There are a few other Disciples I would LOVE to see take the big fall! I look forward to more from these men!!! Too bad I can only give 5 flaming hot stars.... otherwise there would absolutely be more!

First I need to address the 1 and 2 🌟 ratings --- HELLO, MOTORCYCLE CLUB. Please DON'T read the Gypsy Series by Lili St Germain or Hades Hangman Series by Tillie Cole (two of my favorite authors). I could go on with authors who write motorcycle genre and the alpha men make Blade look mild. You should just skip motorcycle club books, oh and Mafia stories also. I guarantee you won't like them, wussys the lot of you.Now for my review of Lethal for what it's worth. I enjoyed it and look forward to the other Brothers stories. This book was not as hard core as I have read, but it was good. You wrote Blade's character and Eve perfect for this story. Some people need to understand these men DID NOT grow up in loving, nurturing homes. They have to be supreme alpha men to survive in their world. Cassandra you did an excellent job and I look forward to reading you future stories.

This is a great book, I highly recommend reading it. This is my first read by Cassandra and I'm really impressed. I loved her writing and character descriptions were excellent. Eve was such a badass girl it was impossible to not like her. I loved seeing blade turning into jason and he is not as hell, who doesnt like a bad boy 😉. The sex scenes are incredibly hot. This book is a must read and a definite must read. I'm very much looking forward to the next book in the series. 5⭐

The book is ok....but I really hate Blade in this most of the time. He unnecessarily cruel to Eve, like threatening to sell her, or kill her and sleep with many others whilst she has to let him without a fuss. And all because she doesn’t want him to cheat on her, and wants respect!Also why on earth did the writer think it was ok for him to brand her at the beginning? And Eve just lets him get away with it all?? She just practically rolls over with little fuss, but that ok. They just skip off into the sunset at the end. He doesn’t have to apologise for treating her that way and at the end it’s dropped in that she is a liar etc. Just weird if you ask me.

Gah! This is one of those books you don’t want to end. I dragged my heels reading.Eve and Blade’s story was so addictive. She’s a gypsy and payment for a debt, and he’s president of the Disciples MC. Both characters are polar opposites. Yet the chemistry between them is SMOKING HOT. Really enjoyed this book and hoping for a book 2.

Loved, loved, loved this book!! It has to be one of my favourite MC books I’ve ever read ! Eve is young and full of sass and Blade/Jason is panty meltingly gorgeous!! Lethal also has all the grit you would expect from a 1% mc club.
