This and most headsets like this have a cord that ends in what is called a quick disconnect. This is made to accept multiple lower cords that would then plug into the device of your choice. You could get a USB lower cord to plug into a PC or a 3.5mm pin jack lower cord to use the headset with a smart phone. Is this a noise cancelling headset?

To expand on Kevin's answer, the headset itself is not noise cancelling (you will still hear what's going on it your environment). Noise cancellation on a monaural (one earpiece) device would be pointless. The microphone, however, IS noise cancelling (meaning the person you are talking to will hear less or no noise from your environment).
