As I understand it, small amounts are absorbed but the remainder is excreted in urine. The sugar itself interferes with e. Coli bacteria attaching themselves to the urinary tract, so it helps with a UTI . In short, if you're concerned about blood sugar levels, best to check with your doctor or naturopath before using.
