Q: When I set the timers, the light is staying in the green function. I want it to be yellow at 8:00 pm and turn green at 7:00 am.

Hi Jennifer, here is what you have to do. Press and hold the LIGHT key for 2 seconds from there use the hour and minute keys to make sure it is set at 8pm (which is should be because that is the default). Then tap the LIGHT key and set this at the time you want the green light to turn off. If you want the green light to come on at 7am I would set this time at 8am (which means the green light will stay on for 1 hour just in case they sleep in it will be on to let them know it is ok to get up). Tap the LIGHT key for the last time and set the time at 7am. This last time is setting the time you want the green light to turn on. Then tap the LIGHT key to exit the set up mode. Yes, we do this! The clock turns green in the morning for my son, but does not sound an alarm. Hope that helps!

Q: How long does the green light stay lit? If I set it to turn on at 6:30 and my kid doesn't look at it until 7 or later, will it still be lit?

As others have answered that is up to you. So you can set it to turn yellow to turn green and when the green light turns off. My only wish is that the clock had a weekend option. You set it to turn green at 6am for school. It is going to be 6 am on Saturday and Sunday as well.

I'm not sure if there is a sound but we have it to just turn green. You can set it for however long you want to be green as far as I know. We have it set to turn green at 6:30 and turn back to yellow at 7:30. But our daughter has been getting up later, so we will probably set it for 8am soon :)
