Urban CoCo Women's Basic Midi Skirt Versatile Stretchy Flared Casual High Waisted Skirt

I wasn’t going to give it 5 stars for flattering, because at 5’ 2” and 160 pounds, a flare skirt is not the most flattering shape on my body. I ordered the XL and it fit perfectly. I have a pear shaped body, and currently wear a size 12-14 in pants. My fault…not the skirt! If you wear a size small I’m sure this skirt would look sexy! BF liked it on me. HOWEVER… I needed a flare skirt because I am taking ballroom dance lessons. This is the best shaped skirt in order to be able to move properly and do the steps. IT IS PERFECT as a ballroom practice skirt!!! The material is nice and has enough stretch to be flattering but not so much to be annoying. The wasteband is LLR type and very flattering considering my weight gain. The skirt falls right at my knee, and it twirls nicely when I spin! The fabric is a nice weight but not too thick. This skirt is comfortable. I also got a navy one and it looks different because of the color, but I also love it. I’m probably going to order several more! I am so excited to finally be able to have skirts I can dance in! Considering practice skirts on the dance sites cost about $100 each, the skirt is a steal! Five star purchase all the way!

Let me repeat: I LOVE THIS SKIRT. I bought the knee-length black skirt two years ago, and it has held up like a CHAMP. It's been washed at least 30 times, and still looks good as new. No pulls, the elastic waist is still tight and the color is perfect. It comes out of the dryer ready to wear and doesn't wrinkle. It's got great movement and gives a lovely flare when you twirl. It's fantastic. I've worn it once a week for the last two winters (in Connecticut) with leggings under it, and have been perfectly comfortable. Bare-legged, it's completely fine in the spring and fall as well; on a straight-up hot summer day, the elastic waist can get a little warm, but it's effectively an all-weather skirt. I cannot say enough good things about it. I own two of the shorter ones as well (which are a little short for the office, but just as durable as the longer ones), and have the knee-length polka-dot one on the way. This skirt is a bargain and a half. Size-wise, I'm 5'5" and 120 lbs; slim build with some muscle. I bought the skirt in a L when I weighed 135, and this crazy skirt still fits comfortably now. The elastic is incredibly forgiving. **SIZING UPDATE** I received my polka-dot long skirt this week, and the L is WAY too big. The waist is definitely larger than it was on the three skirts I bought in size L two years ago (I compared them directly after trying the new one on). I switched it out for a M, which is a much better fit, and even a S would probably be fine. The material and quality of the skirt does not appear to have changed, just the waist size. Buy this skirt. You will not regret it. It's tough as nails, versatile and elegant. You will love it too.

This skirt is adorable! It swings as I walk and the material is thick enough that I don't have to worry about it being see-through at all. The wide waistband is comfortable and made to sit high on the waist. It stops right at my knees. My only complaint is that the waistband is tight.. I ordered a size up and still found the waistband a little tight. Just be aware when ordering.

I purchased this for my fall pumpkin patch outfit. The length was just right as I don’t like my skirts too short. Very easy to pull up and down. I feel like the size was as expected and very comfortable. The material is a good thickness and is not see-through as far as style goes. This is very cute but not the most flattering.

Cute skirt! I like the material, the color and the quality of this skirt. I hoped to use it as a versatile bottom for a trip coming up. It is quite comfortable.

Stretchy and lightweight. It flows when you walk and is super cute! I used it for a Minnie Mouse costume ❤️ I’m 5’3 and 150 lbs, the Large fit perfectly and gave me enough length to be appropriate for a teacher!

Not quite what I hoped. Waistband is firm-stretchy style, so nips in firmly, in a way I didn’t like for the hang of an a line skirt. Also fell shorter than expected, and I am not at all tall - quite “average” without wanting to be too specific ha ha. But I think this was exacerbated by the waist riding high on me due to its style. Fabric I liked. I guess maybe go as large as you can, if your shape means you too do not like that firm kind of wide elastic waistband and you want to try to get a softer fall of the skirt from waist over hips. I think it would work better on different body types.

Fits good and is made with good material. A little thin but good for a Minnie Mouse costume.
