Q: Has anyone had any molding issues with this float?

Mine never stayed inflated long enough to mold. It leaked air after the first few days that we had it.

Q: Does the hyperflate model have the fabric covering? It looks like shiny vinyl in one of the pictures.

My SwimWays float is covered in a smooth fabric, not really vinyl. The seat is a mesh material with little holes whereby water can penetrate. It is very comfortable and supportive. It also dries out quickly. I really love this product because I can easily read while floating in the pool and keep cool all the time. Best pool product ever!!

Q: What is the diameter when fold it up? Will it fit in my carry-on

The item measures no more then 16" across. I would say it would fit into a normal size carry on with wheels. The float is flexible as well. I hope this answer helps
