Q: Do you put the bananas in the frig

I have tried both putting them in the fridge and not. In both instances the peels turn color however the actual banana stays more firm and fresh in the fridge

Q: how do you clean the bags?

I have not washed the bag yet but assuming it has gone through some type of protective process to keep Bananas from ripening, I would hand wash the bag.

Q: How to clean banana/lettuce bags?

I saw these bags on the Today show, and I brought them the following week and it was the best investment in a bag I ever made; and it’s not a brown bag! Purchase your bananas green or slightly green and put them in their bag and store in a safe place. The lettuce stays crispy for over a week. And when we’re not using the lettuce bag my Mom stores other veggies in the bag until they are ready for use.

Q: The bags have a bab smell. Stunk up the fridge. Should I had wash them first?

I answered this once before, but here is my answer again. I did not wash either the lettuce bag or the banana bag. I've had them quite a while & am very happy with them. The bananas stay good for a couple weeks, & the lettuce stays crisp for about 1 1/2 weeks.
