The case arrived this afternoon. Rugged design. Graphics are of high quality. The engineering of this case is PRECISE: at first, trying to slap it on, the case just sloshes around and appears to be the wrong size or lacking in the necessary snap-on points. Slow down. Play with it for a minute. The fit is exact. If you have the right case for your model, it will fit. Kudos to the design engineers!

Be advised that removing the plastic films will create static electricity which will attract dust particles like a magnet - so you better do this is a clean space and relatively fast. As long as you apply the edges in the right order (with you will feel), everything clicks into place perfectly. The end result is a very neat protection for your expensive laptop at a pretty low price for a high quality acrylic product.

It fit perfectly but has a matte texture that collects oils from my hands that are hard to get off. I wash my hands frequently and don’t eat while on my laptop so this was from normal use.

I use my laptop on my lap and every now and then it takes a dive to the floor. I just replaced my old computer, mainly due to one to many of such dives. I got this one. It is very basic plastic. The finish is a soft matte and it pops right on and stays on. My computer closes easily. For under $20 I'm very happy to find an easy solution to my problem. I didn't rate durability as I just got it. For this price I'm not worried about durability. It seems solid enough.

This was very easy to install - you do have to apply a little bit of pressure to get the top part on but then it snaps right in. I'm very pleased with the way it looks. Some folks are upset because the Apple logo doesn't show through. My Macbook Pro is space gray so I got the gray cover. And, as you can see from photo, Apple is visible. If these are available for Macbook Air, I may get one for it too. Since I just got the cover, I cannot attest to durability, gave 4 stars. But honestly, if it falls apart within a year, I'll buy another one! Very pleased so far.

My wife had a clear cover for her A1990 Macbook Pro 15" inch and asked me to order her a new one. I picked this turquoise color because it matched our kitchen. It came undamaged and very quickly. It was a good fit, the top fit perfectly actually, and the bottom left the ports open as much as my other cover. So, I think it is a great fit for this particular laptop. So, if you have the A1990 Macbook Pro 15" inch, I wouldn't hesitate getting these covers because they are a great fit and stay attached well.
