Instructions are trash but unit works well
I have never, ever read such atrocious instructions. Even knowing what it was and having a solid idea of what to do, they were truly worthless. The unit itself, however, works well. Assemble a few parts (very obvious), plug it in. Left knob adjusts how long it vents in seconds, right knob adjusts how often it waits between venting in minutes. I have mine set to 2 seconds every 45 minutes and it seems to be accurate enough. Couldn’t set your watch by it, but for a $25 unit you shouldn’t care that much. Good enough I’m buying another for my other compressor.

Working great on 220v after 6 months
Got this valve rated for 110v to put on a 220v 80gal compressor. Been doing 1 second vents every 10 minutes on 220v for 6 months now. Easy set up, no leaks, solenoid is cool to the touch. Nice dry air!

It keeps the moisture drained.
I've had this installed now for two weeks and it seems to be working perfectly. I had to buy an adapter to go from 1/4" to the 1/2". I have it set at the max time of 45 min. It actually goes off at about an hour for approximately 10-15 seconds. This appears to be ok as there is very little moisture draining out. Before getting this I was forgetting to drain my tank on a consistent bases. This device seems to have fixed that problem. My main concern is that it will have durability and last for a while.

Fair price but threads aren’t tapered as one would expect.
Price is right, but be aware, the threads are the right pitch but not tapered like proper NPT, more like a parallel pipe thread (British). So you will need a lot of teflon tape if you are using brass fittings to make up the gap. If you are using a standard pipe nipple that are usually tapered much further than is used, it will probably fit well before it bottoms out. But for the price, it’s worth a little “not quite right”. I’d buy another if the need arises.

Never mind your tank again!
This little device takes the responsibility to keep your compressor tank free from moisture buildup. Install it inline with the drain port on your tank (G-thread fittings needed), set the desired delay between discharge and also set the discharge duration, give it power and it will take care of the rest! Do make sure that the discharge line has a clear and inoffensive area to vent off. I ran a line out through the wall of my shop and it vents outside.

Good value
This is not a plug & play installation. Instructions seem to have been translated from the Venusian into North Korean, and then to English. Completely incomprehensible; utterly useless. Threads are 1/2 inch. You will need adapters. And Teflon tape. Valve leaked when first installed. Had to disassemble, rotate to get it working right. BUT consider the cost. 1/10 price of alternatives. For my shop, this’ll do.

works
Worked fine for me with gray teflon tape.

Firstly, know that this uses 1/2" BSPP(G) thread not standard, for us, NPT threads. I needed BSP for a separator drain replacement going into this. Secondly, BSPP threads do not seal like NPT. The bore is not tapered so they do not tighten up like local pipe threads. They usually rely on seals inside the female connection or seated into a groove at the top of the male connection. This valve does not come with any seals. Use plenty of Teflon tape or expect this to leak. Otherwise the functionality is great. Test button allows... testing obviously. Setting dials are easy to read and reasonably accurate from my testing.

I’ve had it installed on an air compressor for about a month now. Worked fine for 3 weeks now it starts to rapidly click and malfunction. Seems cheap.

I wired this in so when the compressor motor starts, it vents for 2 seconds. I got tired of having to drain the tank and see water which will cause corrosion eventually. This should help alot. I hope it lasts forever!

Hooked it up to my 80Gal Devilbiss compressor, directly on the compressor control box. This unit works on 110v and 220v, so it was an easy hookup. Didnt need to have an extra extension cord. I plugged it on the output side of the Relay, so that it is only active when the compressor is switched on. I highly recommend this to anyone doing sandblasting or painting.
