As a Washington, DC "junkie", it was a great book to have for helpful knowledge of ways the government operates and its history. A well-worth-book to have in my library.

This tells the trials and tribulations in building both the White House and the Capitol building. There were a lot of political bickering involved in both buildings. It's a wonder both got made.

Very interesting.

The story of various monuments of Washington D,C, CHARLES RIVER EDITORS has individual ebooks for each of the buildings mentioned in this book.

A very good, detailed history. Enjoyable and entertaining
