Q: Will it work with 18 volts ac

The device uses 12V DC for power. It alternates grounding the two alternating circuits. I don't think it will work with 18V AC, but I haven't tried. I've used it to "flash" white and red lights on my grandson's firetruck bed I made. I also used it to flash LED strobe lights on my motorcycle.

Q: there is no control - so- you will need to run a either or circuit thru a relay that you must source yourself then also a remote switch - right ?

Hello there, Thank you for your interest in our iJDMTOY (1) Alternating Left/Right Strobe Flash Module Box. For input, you will connect the power source that will trigger the module to perform its flash strobe function. On the output side, you will connect the lighting application – typically 2 lighting applications. There are two output ground wires, one to each lighting application. The single output positive terminal will connect to both of the lighting applications positive terminal. Wherever you decide to tap this module, it will automatically function with the strobe feature. -iJDMTOY

This works on any 12V dc system. This switches between the two returns to ground. Not sure what the current limit is.

Q: do i have to use the positive feed for lights? i plan on running the grounds off this unit to relays to swap polarity so the positive will be unused
