Lost my original cord to my DS 3D. This works perfectly to charge it. Couldn't be happier. Great buy.

Bought for my 3DS XL and it works perfectly. Haven't played this thing in forever but now I can enjoy some old 3DS games again.

This seems to be very similar to the one that came with 3DS's back in the day. The cord also seems much longer than what I remember, but i may not remember that well. Great replacement for the original!

Worked just as well as the original charger, only thing is when I bought it, it took an extra day or 2 to ship and I purposely looked for a prime eligible item because I lost my charger in the middle of me playing a Pokémon game! Luckily I found my lost one after it shipped, but I've misplaced it again so this probably won't be the last one I buy either, my roommate also plays 3DS and we often share chargers so they are always getting misplaced (he has the smaller version that looks like a Nintendo DS but it uses the same charger. THIS WILL NOT CHARGE A REGUALAR DS, I tried the ends are a different shape.) I recommend buying an extra one as a spare especially if this is for a kid then you don't have to wait for shipping if you loose it. Also I color code mine with that novelty duct tape, the narrow kind that's about a centimeter wide and comes in pretty patterns like leopard, tropical floral print, tie dye, I wrap it around the box part of the charger so I know its mine, I also did the same thing with my original iPhone charger since my bf and I both have 5th gen phones.

It's a power adapter, so the primary judgement should be whether or not it charges the product that it is intended. In that regard, it works.It is the same exact OEM charger that arrives with current gen/"old" 3DS XL/3DS/2DS handhelds, so no concerns there.Only slight problem I had, and the reasoning behind the one star deduction, is that the adapter arrived somewhat dirty. After cleaning the entire item (plug to plug) with a couple alcohol wipes, looks as good as new. All set to buy the "new" 3DS XL now at some point in the near future.

Works as designed

Having a charger for your 3DS is very important, especially if you bought a New 3DS XL or misplaced the original charger. This particular charger is the official model supplied by Nintendo, with a few small differences. Compared to the other listing for the official Nintendo 3DS charger, this one does not come in the packaging as seen in retail stores. The result is that the cost is less than if it were in its original packaging and that there is less things to open and less of a mess to deal with. Since this is the official Nintendo 3DS charger, the quality should be perfect and extremely reliable when using it. The only possible downside is that it doesn't come in its package, so package collectors will be unhappy to not see the official packaging to add to their collection. With the original packaging removed for an official 3DS charger, you can be assured to enjoy the high quality charging with less box opening and more money saved.
