Twisted Dark Volume 1

I couldn't put this book down. after i finished reading it i wanted more! good thing i found Neil at the NYCC 2012 and obtained his other volumes! truly original and fun.

Twisted Dark was just ok for me. My expectations were set high and they were not met. It is still a ok book, just not exactly what I wanted. I went into the book with the thought that the book was going to be disturbing, but I didn't think it was. I felt the stories are meant to be disturbing but fall short of it. I thought Twisted Dark could have been more of just that, a little more "twisted & dark".

This caught my eye at a comic con I visited and I flicked through the first few pages and was intrigued. The stories are dark and twisted just like the title. Some stories are predictable but still a great read! I liked that some characters had their stories continued.

I really enjoyed the style of the illustrations but was left wanting more from the tales themselves. This is not to say that they weren't enjoyed but I was hoping for something a little scarier/shocking.
