Q: What is length of cord?

Actual measurement: 3'4" cord (40" including connector and volume control)

Q: Will this work with a Razar Black Shark headset?

Yes, but only for the sound. The mic will NOT work with this. For example if you play a game with this plugged in you will here the game, but you won't be able to talk to anyone.

Q: can volume be turned to FULL OFF, with no audio coming thru ?

Here is how I use it. Turn the devices volume just a little high. Use the volume control to turn it down to your liking. The range is enough to turn it down to FULL OFF, with no audio coming thru. I am glad I brought it.

Q: Is there a lot of quality loss when using this?

I have used 2units of VC20 for headphones which has no volume and found some loss whenever plug-in.So when hearing semi-classical music or soft mood music,prefer not to use.

Just for headphone not for Mic.

It works fine as volume controller , but if you wish use it with a mic for signal attenuation, it wont work properly. It suppresses the signal greatly
