Some people are critical of using Fram filters claiming they are cheaply made. That may be true of the internal construction when compared to other brands. Still, I base my opinion on actual use and track record. Over the years I've used Fram products for all my vehicles and have never had an issue. They make a good product.

You do need to check the cross-ref charts by FRAM to ensure they are the equivalent of original filter, but that's not too difficult. You can use both FRAM and Ryco cross-reg charts, but these FRAM filters are a cut above the ryco imo.
