This unit replaced almost my entire pedalboard. My band covers a lot of musical styles, so I need access to a pretty large array of sounds, but I don't care for modeling sounds like Helix, Headrush, etc.- to me they sound lifeless and flat, especially since many players run direct to PA with no real amp. This unit essentially replaced 10 pedals, and added several effects that I didn't have. The sound quality is exceptional, as is the build quality. I like the fact that there is no preamp to affect the sound of my amps running clean or on the edge of breakup. I haven't used it yet for recording, so I cannot speak for the IR functions, but for live sound I am very impressed, and I consistently get compliments from patrons and peers on my guitar tones. The ability to create and store sound patches was a big selling point for me as well. The routing options are great, as is the ability to place other effects in the chain. I have found that getting great sounds takes a little tweaking, but the effects controls are familiar and user friendly- if you like to experiment with sounds this will keep you busy! My only "complaints", if you want to call them that, are that the tuner is difficult to see being so small, and that when using presets it is easy to accidentally go into edit mode on the patch you are using. As my comfort level increases, this has become less problematic. My suggestion to Nux for the preset edits would be a press & hold function to edit/save if that is possible. At $299- the price of 2 or 3 "normal" effects- this covers so many bases, it is an absolute bargain. I prefer the sounds on this unit to any multi-effects I have tried- Boss, Zoom, etc. It is basically everything I thought it could be, and a great purchase. Highly recommended!

Advert & picture showed a nu-x cerberus, also wording for cerberus. But i received a 2 button footswitch!!....... not what i presumed i was buying. VERY DISSATISFIED!

Using the 4 cable method, when I first plugged this pedal unit into my tube amp, I liked what I heard at lower volumes. Then as I turned the volume up there was a lot of static/hissing. It was more pronounced with distortion/drive settings. The whining like static sound would come and go after changing presents. It's almost as if the LED lights are affecting the circuit when changing sounds/settings. This is not an isolated incident or a dud since this is my 3d unit! I wanted to like this because it's exactly what I need but the digital noise/hiss is too much. The crazy thing is the videos and reviews for the most part are positive! I heard of 1 or 2 with similar issues but can't believe there aren't more negative reviews. Hopefully Nux can address this issue and come out with an upgraded version.Update*Pls disregard the above comments. I realized it was my tube amp all along. After changing the tubes and spraying contact spray in the mounting holes, the digital hiss/static went away. This is actually a very nice sounding device and Nux took their time to reach out to me. They were very helpful. * After trying a bunch of different multi- effects I must say this one serves all my needs! It is intuitive/easy to use and has a ton of options without menu diving. It sounds awesome plugged straight into front of my tube amp and through my PA speaker. Everytime I play through it, I can't believe how great it sounds! I don't know what kind of mojo magic was used to make this analog beauty but it is a beast! You can go from pristine clean, a hint of reverb/delay to full blown crunchy/dirty and raunchy as you want it to be. This unit has actually inspired me to play more and I'm getting better in the process. Thank you Amazon Prime and Nu-x (pronounced New X) for giving me the privilege to own this badboy!

Misleading and deceitful listing. Advertising a NUX Cerberus and the. Sending a 2 button foot switch. SWAMP Blames Amazon for the mistake. Never again. Extremely dissatisfied.
