Q: What kind of fabric is this? Poleyester? Muslin? What kind of washing or ironing will be required?

Some sort of cotton and synthetic blend. Not sure about washing but it does wrinkle. Use clips on the stand to hold it taught and you should be ok.

Q: Will the pocket accommodate a 2 inch thick pole??

I dont believe it would accommodate that thick a diameter pole. I would have to read the specs again to be sure..

Q: Does it have rod pockets? Does it have sewn finished edges all the way around?

Sorry, I've bought several different brands in the past year and cannot tell them apart, so therefore I can't remember which have rod pockets. But yes, they all (all that I've bought) do have a sewn edge all around. If the backdrop does not have a rod pocket, they can attach to the backdrop stand with a large variety of clips, which is what I tend to use regardless. Just seems easier to me. Hope this helps a little.
