I hadn't changed the filter in our Meile canister in 4 years and with 2 dogs, it was starting to smell every time we vacuumed. The filter makes all the difference in the world in improving air quality in the house. The filter is well built and although pricey, should last a few years. It is well worth the cost.

It fits! It works! It filters like a son-of-gun! A few days in (the Miele vacuum), the air seems clearer, the apartment is cleaner, and the incessant allergic rhinitis I experience from late spring through autumn has receded! Who would have believed so much could be accomplished with an advanced filter. Further, at this time I don’t see a reduction in suction. I am very pleased.

Using them for years. No complaints. They help eliminate any odor from the vac - especially with pet hair.

This filter is amazing. I didn't have a hepa filter in my canister vacuum for a while. I was just using the filters that came with the bag. But the air coming out of the vacuum started to smell. I am assuming from all the dog hair. I came to Amazon to order a hepa filter again and read on here this is a great option for smell so I gave it a try and it was like magic. No more smell. We have had the filter for a few months and it is still working amazingly.

This is for the German made Miele vacuums. I've had mine for a long time and, as such, accessories are difficult to find. While this has many great features, it is not the proper fit for my machine. So, caveat emptor. Be sure this particular accessory fits your machine. If it matches your machine, buy some.

Wir betreiben diesen Filter mit unserem Tango Plus, für den man lediglich den kleinen Kunststoffdeckels des Microfilters entfernen mussten. Dazu genügt es die beiden Schrauben zwischen dem Hinterteil und der Zubehörklappe zu lösen (nicht komplett entfernen). Saugtechnisch verliert man subjektiv absolut keine Leistung, mir kommt es jedoch vor, dass der Staubsauger aber minimal leiser geworden ist. Der Hauptvorteil dieses HEPA-Filters ist jedoch, dass er eine unheimlich große Menge an Feinstaub herausfiltert, der ansonsten nicht so stark gefiltert werden kann. Somit wirbelt man auch nicht sofort wieder Staub auf, der sich dann auf den Möbeln absetzt. Nach nur zwei Wochen haben wir schon eine Besserung feststellen können. Da der HEPA-Filter mit Aktivkohle arbeitet, werden Gerüche ganz sicher auch entsprechend reduziert, was ich jedoch nicht verifizieren kann, da wir keine Haustiere haben. Für mich steht auf jeden Fall fest, dass ich von nun an auf diesen Filter nicht mehr verzichten möchte auch wenn dieser jährlich getauscht werden sollte. In Verbindung mit den originalen MIELE Staubsaugerbeutel hat sich diese Investition schon jetzt ausgezahlt und ist eindeutig zu empfehlen.

For some reason my Miele vacuum cleaner developed a very unpleasant smell whilst in use - very much like vomit or parmisan cheese. Changing bags and filters made a temporary improvement but the pong always returned sooner rather than later. I'd never had a problem with its predecessor, a Panasonic, so I turned to Google for some research. Lo and behold, it appears to be a common problem with Miele cylinder cleaners! Many causes were suggested - some highly unlikely; the strange thing is that switched off and with the innards exposed, it's impossible to detect the smell. That made one suggested cause make a lot of sense - it's coming from the motor! 36 hours after I placed my order for this carbon granule filter, it was fitted (a little tricky) and all was well again. The honk had gone. Deepjoy! This filter had done the job - thoroughly recommended if you dear reader have a similar problem. I'm a bit puzzled though, why have Miele not addressed the issue at source by either modifying the motor or, fitting the carbon filter on the production line? Update - sadly the improvement was relatively short lived! After half a dozen pong free vacuuming sessions, the smell returned. Come on Miele, sort it out!
